Our Journey to a Beautiful Campsite

We’re already excited for the 2025 season – we’ll be open from March 28th! But before we look ahead, let’s take a quick look back at 2024. Spring was promising: April and May were great, but June didn’t quite live up to expectations. Was it because other campsites also opened in June? Or was it the dreaded weather forecast? Who knows, but we were ready for the high season, and it turned out to be amazing! More updates on that later.

We often hear that “Rome wasn’t built in a day,” and that’s definitely true. There’s still a lot to do, but we’re proud of what we’ve already achieved. In this blog, I’d like to share some of the changes and improvements we’re particularly proud of.

When we took over the campsite at the end of May 2023, Rachid immediately got to work. With the help of a few of our residents, he built beautiful terraces at the Cabanes Magiques. And that wasn’t all! The following winter, he added natural steps leading down to the lake. So, when you book one of our Cabanes Magiques, you get a large private space and almost private access to the lake.

We’ve also transformed the mobile homes that were still for sale into luxury rental accommodations. These are top-notch stays, with spacious showers, large double beds, and a covered terrace where you can relax and enjoy the surroundings.

With the help of our friend Nicolas, we leveled off a piece of land. Our plan is to eventually level all of the camping grounds so that everyone can enjoy the space to the fullest. Speaking of the grounds – we love letting nature take its course, but to prevent everything from becoming overgrown and to give nature’s little gems the space to thrive, we do quite a bit of pruning.

We’ve also made improvements to the sanitary facilities. The access has been changed, making it much more beautiful and accessible, especially for people in wheelchairs. We’ve made everything more user-friendly!

At our reception (and shop), we’ve made some significant changes. The fence has been removed, and the reception is now set up so you can enter from both the back (via the campsite) and the front (from the street). There’s now a terrace where you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and plan your day with the help of our flyers.

And then… the cherry on top, the crème de la crème: our snack bar by the water. You can relax in one of the lounge areas with a refreshing ice cream or a nice cold beer. If you’re hungry, there are also snacks available. The bar is easily accessible from the beach, so after a swim, you can grab a drink right away.

We warmly invite you to book your holiday with us. Our goal is, and will always be, to ensure that everyone can fully enjoy our campsite, the beautiful nature, the three lakes, Lake Serre-Ponçon, and all the activities the region has to offer.
